Bimonthly September – May 2024-25
Bimonthly September – May 2024-25
1. There are no reading or submission requirements in advance of the course.
2. As a condition for receiving a class certificate, class attendance is mandatory at all sessions. Participation by others is welcome.
3. The class will proceed by short instructor presentations but mainly by class discussion. Active class participation is required.
4. The final class, on May 10, will consist of discussion of student abstracts. Students should submit a 2-page, double-spaced abstract (approximately 500 words) for a proposed longer paper. Students should submit this paper here by no later than two weeks prior to this class, by Saturday, April 26, at noon Eastern US time.
5. Instructors will review the submitted abstracts and offer written feedback (without a quantitative grade). If a submission is not of minimal quality, the student will be given the opportunity to rework the abstract and resubmit it for new evaluation.
6. Successful completion of the Seminar will lead to the awarding of a certificate.
